Perhaps we can’t have this conversation on Sports Illustrated or ESPN, but We Are Marquette, and being in the top 6% of universities globally and top 15 Catholic universities (seriously) we can talk this way here: 1) What is wrong with limiting student-athletes to 1 transfer in their first two years of eligibility, and if they can’t possibly stand another year at their place, they take a redshirt year; 2) What is wrong with only allowing additional transfers for family emergencies or coaching changes, and conversely, allowing a graduate transfer anywhere once a student-athlete completes their degree; 3) What is wrong with a uniform NIL payment, across all sports and NCAA divisions, of 40 hours at Federal minimum wage tax free, strictly for non-profit public service announcements, and subject to the requirements that 4) NIL is restricted to sophomores and above, successfully on track for degree completion, and carrying a minimum GPA?
